A Message From the Campaign Chair
Dear Colleague,
As you know, Saint Joseph's University has adopted a strategic plan outlining a series of initiatives supporting its vision to be recognized as the preeminent Catholic comprehensive university in the Northeast. In order to achieve this vision, Saint Joseph's University has established a long-range financial strategy to fund these bold initiatives. As the first critical step in this new journey, the University has launched a $150 million comprehensive campaign the most ambitious fundraising initiative in the University's history.
The energy of this Campaign exemplifies the Ignatian challenge of the magis “to do more to strive for excellence in all things.” It is prompted by the strategic initiatives outlined in Plan 2010: The Path to Preeminence , which include: excellence in the teacher/scholar model, Catholic and Jesuit identity and diversity, signature programs, facilities and technology infrastructure, financial health, a vibrant campus life, and effective community partnerships. The Campaign calls for all constituencies to strive for more.
Mirroring With Faith and Strength to Dare: The Campaign for Saint Joseph's University , we are proud to officially launch Saint Joseph's Universitys Faculty and Staff Campaign a fundraising, outreach, and awareness effort for some of the most important stakeholders of the University you and me.
Saint Joseph's University shines because of its employees . Whether teaching a class, helping a student, or assisting another employee to make his or her job easier, you make a vital contribution to our community. Your dedication speaks volumes about your commitment to our University. Saint Joseph's is an outstanding academic institution because of the great work done by each of its faculty and staff members. The Campaign's theme, With Faith and Strength to Dare, reflects the time and talent you give to the University to help keep our institution strong.
You are an essential member of the University community , and I invite you to support this effort. Your participation, rather than the amount of your donation, is what counts. Let's demonstrate to the University's wider constituencies the dedication and support that we as faculty and staff have for this Campaign, for the future of Saint Joseph's University, and, especially, for its students.
On behalf of the entire Faculty and Staff Campaign Committee, I thank you for your generous support.
