A Message from the President

Felecia Singh, Randall Miller, and Michael Hagan are true representatives of Saint Joseph's University ideals. The scholarship student on her way to medical school, the eminent scholar, and the passionate CEO are three among thousands - every one of whom belongs to a community challenging people to stretch spiritually and intellectually in order to lead lives of purpose and become who God is calling them to be.

Our founding values have guided and inspired us for more than 150 years, and the last few decades have seen extraordinary progress - our applicant pool has quadrupled, our physical campus has shown unprecedented improvements, and our academic programs have become stronger and more rigorous. This momentum reminds us, however, to prioritize correctly: our profound responsibility to prepare students to succeed in this complex, technologically advanced, global society is paramount. Both our values and our momentum have motivated us to articulate a vision to be recognized as the preeminent Catholic comprehensive university in the Northeast. This vision provides the impetus for our first-ever comprehensive campaign: With Faith and Strength to Dare.

The Campaign for Saint Joseph's University is about fulfilling our vision as well as giving it meaning. Preeminence is about much more than "bigger and better." It is about offering the best possible experience so we can provide to the world individuals who have critical thinking skills, intellectual curiosity, and the moral discernment and values to create a caring and just society - to be men and women with and for others. With Faith and Strength to Dare, we are boldly making progress toward our ambitious yet achievable dream. We honor the spirit of the magis and enlist all who love Saint Joseph's University to help us seek "the more" and join us in this remarkable journey.
