Law Alumni Honor Lord and Mazzola with Sheehan and McClanaghan Awards

The Law Alumni Chapter presented John B. Lord Ph.D.’71 and the Honorable William J. Mazzola’66 with the Sheehan and McClanaghan Awards at a reception on Wednesday, November 14, at The Union League of Philadelphia.
Dr. Lord is a Professor of Marketing at Saint Joseph's University, where he has taught since 1975. He has served as dean and associate dean of the Haub School of Business, plus four half-year terms as chairperson of the Food Marketing department. Dr. Lord received his B.S. from Saint Joseph's, his MBA from Drexel University, and his Ph.D. from Temple University in 1985. Dr. Lord will receive the Sheehan Award for his enduring loyalty and dedication to Saint Joseph's University.
Judge Mazzola serves on the Philadelphia County Court of Common Pleas, where he has presided over cases in several divisions since 1981. Judge Mazzola received his B.S. from Saint Joseph's, his M.A. from Villanova University, and his Juris Doctorate from the University of Baltimore in 1970. The Law Alumni Chapter has chosen Judge Mazzola to be the recipient of the McClanaghan Award for his distinction in the field of law as well as the distinction he has brought to Saint Joseph's University.
