Brianne '02 and Michael MacKenzie '02
Brianne (Zeier) '02 and Michael MacKenzie '02 don't have to look very far to find a reason to support Saint Joseph's.
A quick glance to each's respective left ring finger ought to do it.
The pair met as freshmen in the fall of 1998, and what they experienced on campus separately and together made their decision to give to the Saint Joseph's Fund an easy one once their careers were under way and they were married.
The experience we had at Saint Joseph's and the traditions it brought into our lives are very important to us, Brianne says. We want to make sure that experience is there for future generations.
Mike says his connection with the University began at orientation; it was nurtured through involvement with Campus Ministry and the pep band, for which he still plays. Brianne, like Mike, was and is an active supporter of the basketball program, and also found fulfillment within Saint Joseph's Service Learning program.
Both Brianne and Mike are quick to point out that supporting the Saint Joseph's Fund is their way to ensure that the University's growth and expansion allow tomorrow's students to become as fully immersed in the institution's mission as they were and still are.
The Fund's focus on funding current initiatives, especially scholarships and financial aid, gives their gift immediate impact for those who have followed them.
It's important for us to give back ... We had a great experience at Saint Joseph's. If that's something that you value, you'll look to preserve it for future generations.
