Class of 2009 Senior Challenge Committee
Serving on the Senior Challenge Committee is a great way to have an impact on our Class Gift and Senior Class events, while having fun and gaining professional experience that will look great on your resume!
Committee Chair
Are you a leader? A spokesperson? A champion for Saint Joseph's University? This is your chance to be the face of the 2009 Senior Challenge.
Duties and Responsibilities: Work with the Senior Challenge Committee and Office of Development to set realistic goals and expectations for the Committee; Draft text and provide your signature for class mailings; Assist with the recruitment and training of other Committee Members; Coordinate and facilitate meetings; Speak publicly about the Senior Challenge; Encourage classmates to participate.
Committee Members
Live your commitment to SJU. Get your friends involved while helping with Senior Class events. As a Committee Member you will be integral to the success of the Senior Challenge.
Duties and Responsibilities: Encourage classmates to participate in the Challenge; Assist with promotional, marketing, and outreach efforts to class-mates, encouraging participation and event attendance; Attend Senior Challenge planning meetings throughout the year and offer advice and ideas.
Special Events Coordinator
Get the party started! As Special Events Coordinator, you will plan the events that underclassmen wish they could attend.
Duties and Responsibilities: Plan and set an event schedule; Provide regular updates regarding the status and success of events; Select members from the Senior Challenge Committee to assist in planning specific events; Communicate and coordinate event specifics with the University and any third party vendors; Serve on the Senior Week Committee.
Marketing Coordinator
Develop the strategy...Brand the Challenge…Design the materials.
Duties and Responsibilities: Design promotional materials; Utilize SJU communications resources; Create and maintain a Class of 2009 webpage; Remain up-to-date on Senior Challenge events and provide status updates for committee and class members; Work with the Special Events Coordinator to publicize Senior Challenge events; Creatively seek out new ways to promote the Senior Challenge on campus.
Greek Life Liason
Bring the Challenge to the Greeks. You know the people and the tradition. But most importantly, you know the power of the Greek community when it unites behind a great cause.
Duties and Responsibilities: Attend Greek Council, IFC and Pan Hellenic meetings every other week to give an update on senior events and gift status; Recruit members specifically from Greek organizations for the Senior Challenge Committee; Coordinate efforts between the Senior Challenge Committee and the Greek organizations; Encourage participation from senior chapter members.
